Chinese Medicine has at least 2000 years of recorded clinical history and incorporates Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Chinese Dietary Therapy, Tuina (meridian massage), Chi gung and Nei gung (body energy cultivation meditations and exercises).
Since the Chinese communist revolution in 1949 the government of China has supported one particular style of Chinese medicine called Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Many Westerners have since gone to China to study TCM, and it has become the dominant style of Chinese medicine taught in these countries. TCM is a very rational and logical system of medicine. It is a style of medicine developed and practiced by Ru Yi, which means scholar doctor. TCM diagnosis is performed primarily when prescribing Chinese herbal medicine. This involves the use of what is called in Chinese Medicine, the four examinations. These are: looking, listening and smelling, questioning and a physical examination including pulse diagnosis.
At the Optimal Health Clinic we specialise in these aspects of Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture and Moxibustion (French Vietnamese and Chinese), Chinese Herbal Medicine, Chinese Dietary Therapy, meridian massage, Chi Gung and Nei gung (body energy cultivation meditations and exercises) to help you heal your disease.
