Then came the study of nutrition, Homeopathy and Homotoxicology. Then in 1992 he gained a diploma in Chinese herbal medicine. Chi Chung study and practice also began at this time. Other issues of significance: The above is a brief list of the conditions for which Darryl has the most experience, but is by no means complete. Darryl has basically conducted a general practice over the years, specialising in the above areas. Because of the nature of Functional and Chinese medicines, most health disorders can be assisted in some way. We offer a satisfaction guarantee, which reads as follows.

Provision for assurance of quality: Membership in the New Zealand Register of Acupuncturist requires completion of continuing education and adherence to professionally controlled ethical and safety standards. This and seminar attendances provides access to highly qualified and experienced colleagues in case of need.

Where do these services fit?  Over the years, Darryl has found that most of his first time patients were desperate and dissatisfied with previous treatments. Thus these services have often been a last resort. Despite this Darryl has a high success rate. Difficult patients that are not responding well to conventional western medicine, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic or Osteopathy are grateful for the improvement they experience. Patients that wish to avoid invasive procedures, strong drugs therapy and surgery benefit also. Due to Functional and Chinese medicines recognition and ability to diagnose functional and/or subclinical symptoms, they can provide highly individualised lifestyle and treatment advice as an effective preventative medicine programme also.

Published Author: Darryl has had dozens of editorials he has authored on various aspects of Functional and Chinese Medicine, published in the “Gisborne Herald”, since 1985. In 2011, Darryl authored his first E book; “A Step by Step Self Help Guide to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Sciatica at Minimal Cost”, this E book is selling worldwide and has been endorsed by Michael Evans a leading Physiotherapist who has practiced in the UK, SA, and NZ since 1991.
